The Centre for Contemporary Music at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory with Vladimir Tarnopolski as artistic director organizes in December 2006 a Dutch-Russian project in the Moscow Conservatory with the ensemble Studio for New Music, ensemble-in-residence at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, and Marco Blaauw as soloist. One Dutch and one Russian young composer is asked to write especially for this project. Sander Germanus is commissioned to compose a microtonal piece for trumpet and the ensemble Studio for New Music with a duration of approximately eight minutes.
